EDUCATE THE WORLD INC.

OUR WORK

OUR PROGRAMS

Program 1: Nigeria Community Support Program

Our most important and most urgent program. Since 2022, we have provided 150 deeply vulnerable individuals in rural Ogun State, Nigeria — elderly men and women, people with disabilities, and underage mothers — with monthly food assistance and direct financial support. Seven in-country staff members, four of whom live in the village, coordinate distributions every single month without fail. This community has no other safety net. We are it.

Program 2: International Education Support Program

Since our founding in 2009, we have provided books, educational materials, and direct financial gifts to students and schools in Nigeria, Ghana, and Afghanistan. Education in these fragile and under-resourced environments is chronically underfunded and frequently disrupted. Our support — while modest — has opened real doors for young people who would otherwise have none.

Program 3: Laptops For Learning — USA Technology Access

Through our Apply for Laptops program, we donate refurbished laptops and technology tools to low-income students across the United States. Students who cannot afford a computer are locked out of the digital economy, higher education, and workforce readiness. Every device we place in a student’s hands changes their trajectory. Apply directly on our website.

Program 4: Books of Hope

We publish and distribute an original series of inspirational books — Warriors Never Give Up, Tell Me You’re Happy, Words of Wisdom for Warriors, and Young Girl, You’re Simply Amazing — gifted to youth and individuals facing adversity. Book sales directly fund our humanitarian programs. When you buy a book, you feed someone. When you gift a book, you inspire someone.

 STATEMENT OF NEED.

Extreme poverty, food insecurity, and lack of educational access devastate millions globally. In rural Nigeria, West Africa, elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and underage mothers are routinely ostracized and abandoned — invisible to governments, aid organizations, and their own communities. Post-COVID economic collapse has deepened their suffering dramatically. In the United States, millions of low-income students lack computers, creating a persistent digital divide that limits educational achievement and economic opportunity. In Afghanistan, Nigeria, and Ghana, children in fragile environments have no access to books or learning resources. These populations share one thing in common — the world has decided they do not matter. Educate The World Inc. exists to prove otherwise.

THE NIGERIA COMMUNITY STORY

The Community We Could Not Ignore

Three years ago, a community of 150 people in rural Ogun State, Nigeria, West Africa, reached out to Educate The World Inc. They had heard about our work. They were elderly men and women with no pension and no family to care for them. They were individuals living with physical disabilities, excluded from economic life and often excluded from their own communities. They were underage mothers — young women abandoned by their families and left without income, healthcare, or support.

They had nowhere else to turn. And so they turned to us.

We said yes.

Since that day, every single month without interruption, we have provided this community with food assistance and direct financial support. Seven dedicated in-country staff members — four of whom live permanently in the village — coordinate monthly distributions, ensuring that every individual receives what they need with dignity and care.

This is not a program run from a distance. This is a relationship. These 150 people are not statistics to us. They are known by name. They are our responsibility. And as long as we exist, we will not abandon them.

Who We Serve in Nigeria

  • Elderly men and women with no pension, no family support, and no government assistance
  • Individuals living with physical and developmental disabilities, excluded from economic and community life
  • Underage mothers ostracized by their families and communities, left without income or support

What We Provide

  • Monthly food packages distributed face to face in the village
  • Monthly direct financial support to help cover basic needs
  • Consistent human presence — the message that they have not been forgotten

The post-COVID economic collapse in West Africa has made their situation more urgent, not less. This work is getting harder for us to sustain alone. Your support — whether a donation, a book purchase, or sharing our story — directly keeps this lifeline alive.

💻 Technology and Office Equipment

Reliable technology is a critical need for many organizations to run programs and manage operations.

  • Computers and Accessories: Laptops and desktops are the most in-demand tech items . Consider also asking for tablets, external hard drives (like Toshiba 4TB), webcams, and high-quality microphones for virtual meetings and programs .

  • Printers and Scanners: A high-volume printer (e.g., Epson Workforce Pro WF-7840) and a durable document scanner (e.g., CZUR ET MAX) can greatly improve office efficiency .

  • Audio/Visual Equipment: For events and presentations, a portable projector, a lapel microphone, and a portable projection screen are very useful .

  • Other Tech Needs: Networking hardware (routers), mice, keyboards, cables, and professional label maker.

Children, Family, and Educational Support

  • These items support the well-being and development of children and families.

    • School and Art Supplies: Backpacks, lunch boxes, notebooks, pens, pencils, and basic craft supplies like cardstock, glue sticks, and scissors are essential .

    • Toys, Books, and Games: New or gently used books (especially popular or culturally relevant titles), board games, puzzles, and toys in good working condition can bring joy to children in shelters or transitional housing .

    • Baby and Toddler Items: Diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, and unopened formula are critical needs for organizations serving families with infants . For toddlers, think about shelf-stable milk, baby cereal, and soft foods
